What do you think of when you think about Sir Isaac Newton? Most people tend to think of the legend of the Apple falling out of the Apple tree and landing on his head… Hence, the discovery of the Universal Law of Gravitation. Even though there is much more to that story, it did get us thinking about Apples falling out of trees… Or what if $500 fell out of a tree?!?

My favorite memories include the morning demos with the campers! The energy the kids brought with them to camp each day was absolutely contagious! Oftentimes we don’t give our kids enough credit with the science concepts they are able to grasp, even as young as four years of age.
Hearing the kids yell out terms such as “sublimation”, “density”, “cohesion”, “inertia”, “catalyst”, and many others, or hearing them explain in their own words the “why” behind a chemical reaction continued to blow me away. It was clear that they were having a blast AND learning all at the same time!
