“Easily the best of many camp experiences this summer. Thanks for everything!”
“It was amazing to me that after picking up my child from a seven hour camp she was even more energized and excited than when I dropped her off. She said the day went by quickly and she has been talking a lot about what she learned–she also says “deoxyribonucleic acid” about forty times a day!”
“Thank you so much for the wonderful programs! My son really enjoyed them! He told us what he did during the day VOLUNTARILY. He often said “I wished I could bring…home”, ” I can’t wait to work on….”. At the end of the camp, he told his counselors “See you next year”. I totally agree! Thanks!”
“Daily schedule you provided to parents was excellent! NO camp has ever provided this to me (this also “shows” where the money is going. I liked the age grouping as well. Katy was happier being with older kids. Our world offers so much to learn in a science way that children and teens crave to learn about and love. This is how you teach children/teens to protect our earth and to value and cherish it down to its microscopic world! Thank you so much for an excellent, grown up class! We will be back.”
“We had a great camp experience! One of the best parts of this camp was that campers were able to bring home and enjoy some of the great projects they did. Also, the location was very convenient.”
“We absolutely loved [Club] Scientific. We are going to plan to enroll in multiple sessions next year as this was our first exposure to [Club] Sci. The counselors were wonderful & caring AND the curriculum was amazing. My kids wanted more [Club] Sci. We are so grateful for your existence. Ms Shellie is so kind to the children & she runs a great camp. Thank you”
“LOVE the hands on science! I felt like he was “working” at Google – given lots of time to explore and create either by himself or with a group.”
“My kids absolutely loved Club Scientific this summer. They loved the experiments and the other activities. They enjoyed the small group atmosphere, and the relatively quiet days (compared to the loud, large group atmosphere at the other camp we also went to this summer). We will absolutely be back next summer at the Richardson location.”
“My son has already asked if he can do another Club Scientific camp next summer. My son said “I thought they were really good and I want to do another.”
“Counselors were fantastic. Both of my kids had a really wonderful experience. Will definitely plan to come back next year.”
“My daughter loved this camp so much as well as her instructor that she was crying when she had to say goodbye. I loved the small class size and she had such a wonderful time that I told my neighbor and now her daughter is going in a few weeks too.”
“I have a child who doesn’t get enthusiastic about much. He was absolutely fired up and enthusiastic about this camp. Every day when he came home, he was bursting to tell me about his day. Wonderful!”
“I have never seen my child so happy with a summer camp. He loved Jimmy and had a wonderful time working on video game design. He learned skills he’ll take with him into his own computer time, and he really enjoyed being around a “big kid” role model who shared his interests. We think Jimmy rocks.”
“We are absolutely thrilled with Camp Paleo and our entire experience with the program. My son really loved going every day, and learned a lot. Plus he had so much fun I think he forgot he was actually learning stuff. I would highly recommend this camp. My problem with a lot of the summer camps is that they are basically glorified daycares. This was anything but! Loved it, and will probably enroll again.”
“Club Scientific has been the BEST camp my children has ever attended. The curriculum design promoted ‘learning as doing’, rather than information transmission. The children never exhibited any sense of boredom or were overwhelmed with the knowledge. In fact, my children came home asking “How do you spell ‘polymer’?” and seeing the science in everyday objects, like bubble gum and soda. I only wish the rest of their education was structured like this.”
A huge part of my children’s success with this camp is directly attributable to the counselors. With each counselor, the approach was learner centered, not teacher centered. It was never about the teacher or even about the information & experiments. It was always about the children’s learning. In specific, not every experiment came out exactly as it should but the counselors were EXCELLENT in re-framing every child as a success. They provided a dynamic, instead of static, environment that permitted this to happen. This did not happen by chance.
We would all be lucky if the workplace were structured to accomodate the dynamic nature of everyday life like Club Scientific.
“This was our first year at Club Scientific so we didn’t know what to expect from a science camp. Club scientific has left a wonderful and recommendable impression. This camp was very organized, professional, and most of all fun. Every day was filled with fun and interesting activities with one on one attention.
My son will approach his science classes this year with new confidence because of Club Scientific.”
“[Our son] absolutely loved this camp. He was excited to attend every morning and excited about what he’d learned every afternoon. thanks!”
“I really like the specific agenda we received on the first day. I enjoyed asking my daughter specific questions about what she was learning. Organization is an essential feature to truly effective camps for kids. They really need the structure.”
“My kids enjoyed the camps and were excited to attend everyday. It was their first year and they are already asking when can they attend again. I look forward to next years experience!”
“Both of my children were very excited every day about going to camp. But it was especially gratifying to hear my daughter so very excited about science! I wanted my children to do a camp that not only challenged them physically, but also mentally. Additionally, especially for my daughter soon to enter middle school, I wanted to foster her interest in science and keep her thinking that science is “cool”.
Without hesitation, this camp was well worth the cost.”
